ketotic diet

Dieting really stinks. Anyone who has ever been on a “diet” knows what I mean. You feel deprived and HANGRY (hungry and angry).  And if you are me, your brain does not function well, and you are not firing on all pistons. Not to mention exhausted.  After about 36 hours when my jeans are still tight – I usually give up, UNTIL NOW.

KETOSIS!!!! It’s a game changer. I’ll direct you to some websites and information, but the general idea is to eat minimal carbs, including fruit and simple sugars and to focus on protein, fat and vegetables.  So its like a PALEO diet on crack.   Within a few days of this non-diet diet you will become ketotic, which you can actually measure by peeing on a stick (i know it seems a bit extreme), and then once you’re  ketotic your body becomes a fat melting machine. Literally.  Along with a lot of other positive improvements.  You don’t have to weigh your food, you really don’t have to control your portions and you can eat high fat foods which really controls your hunger. After a few days you feel  GREAT. You won’t feel utterly insatiable and you won’t feel crazy! Then the cool thing is you can modify it to your liking. Soooo you may be able to drink alcohol – or eat some pasta – and remain ketotic. You try it and pee on a stick in a few hours and you can see. And when you are ketotic you can literally feel your metabolism surging.

I have been trying to lose the same damn 20 pounds (maybe even 30 – hate to say it) for almost 20 years. And now finally I am doing it – painlessly.pexels-photo-797394.jpeg

You can add in exercise and obviously that helps. Or not. And it turns out weight loss is not so simple as calories in and calories out. Our bodies are much more complicated than that and process different foods very differently. If you hate to exercise just walk – get a smart phone app that measures steps and walk 10,000 a day. It’s not that hard to do, and it may help you get out of a rut.

There is nothing worse than being stagnant. Don’t you want to do this for once and for all? And if you are happy with your weight but suffer from inflammation – anywhere – sore joints, water retention, it will help too. This diet has been shown to help both Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s as well as cancer. Paleo diet gives you the basic information and then you want to track your carbohydrates and minimize them.

Its pretty simple, and you can either think of it as all the stuff you cannot eat, or all the stuff you can.  Here is the stuff you cannot eat.

Plus rice, pasta, bread, sugar, sugar and sugar.

But look at all the beautiful things you can eat
